What is a ThinkFun Game Night?
ThinkFun Game Night not only brings families together to play fun, mind challenging games, it's also a great fundraiser! At Game Night, your school sells ThinkFun games and earns 40% of the profits!
Game Night is a flexible program that can be run on its own or incorporated into another school event such as a Book Fair, Math Night, or Community Dinner.

Recruit Volunteers
Line up parent/teacher volunteers to help with set-up and take-down, to explain games, and to take game orders. The number of volunteers depends on your estimated turnout, but we suggest recruiting at least 4-6.
- 1-2 volunteers should be tasked to take orders
- 2-4 volunteers should circulate to explain game rules, answer questions, etc.
- 1 volunteer to manage the Giving Tree if you choose to incorporate this program
Provide Game Instructions to volunteers prior to the event so they can familiarize themselves with rules.
Game Night Games
We recommend having at least one game per family at Game Night, and there are several options for supplying these.
If you already have plenty of ThinkFun games, you're all set! If you are interested in ordering demo games for families to browse and play, we offer a special 40% discount! Browse our selection.
No budget to stock up on games? Not to worry. We offer a variety of fun, challenging family Mat Games which you can download and print for free!

Game Instructions
Displaying printed instructions for your ThinkFun demo games will save busy volunteers from explaining rules over and over throughout the event.
Free instructions for most games are available online. To download and print, visit our Individual Games page and click the "How to Play" button next to the game.
If your games are from a ThinkFun Classroom Game Set, simply display the provided How-to-Play tent cards.
Advertise
Display Game Night Posters in classrooms and hallways to drum up excitement! Posters can be downloaded here and customized with your event details.
- Fill in Game Night Flyers with event details. Send home in backpacks or place a stack in the front hall of the school
- Broadcast the upcoming Game Night during morning announcements using our PA announcement scripts!
- Use our Email Templates to spread the word and invite families to attend
Selling Games
Pricing: Families pay retail prices for all ThinkFun games.
Shipping: ThinkFun charges $0.95 shipping for each game ordered at Game Night. Schools can either pay shipping out of their 40% profit or add this charge to the retail prices paid by families.
Taking Orders: Take orders at a single station or equip roaming volunteers with order forms.
- Individual order forms can be filled in by volunteers or placed at tables for families to complete and bring to a cashier.
- To help compile orders, we provide a master sales sheet. This is also helpful for organizers distributing game orders after the event.
Put your Profits to Use!
Use your profits to order new ThinkFun games and programs for your school and receive 40% off any products purchased!
Giving Tree
Incorporate a ThinkFun Giving Tree into your Game Night to boost your fundraising potential through the roof! Some ideas for using the Giving Tree at your event:
- Have an "Apple Stand" where families make donations and display their apple on the tree
- Hold an Apple Raffle (Say that ten times fast!). Sell "Rapple" tickets for whatever amount you choose. Raffle off one game or several as prizes!
- Sell Game Apples. Prior to Game Night, ask teachers to submit a "wish list" of ThinkFun games they'd love for their classroom. Fill each apple with a teacher's name, a game s/he has requested, and the price. Donors "pick" apples and donate the amount shown to provide a new game for a classroom!
