Problem Solving Strategies

To be a successful problem solver, it is essential to develop a mental toolkit of solving strategies and techniques that you can draw on to help you solve the problem. ThinkFun puzzles and games are perfect vehicles for revealing how these strategies work and teaching children how to use them.

Through game play and intentional lesson plans, we expose students to the concept of problem solving strategies and demonstrate the linkage between game specific strategies and general strategies that are valuable for real life situations. Along with this, we encourage students to learn about each strategy to be able to describe what it is and to think about how they might use it to solve a general problem.
